Levels of drug use across the population in the U.K are now so high that it is inevitable that drugs will affect any workplace, no matter how large or small.
Drugs in the workplace cost companies and employers millions of pounds each year in losses in productivity, workers compensation claims, liability cases and profits.
An independent study found that 47% of work related injuries were directly related to drug abuse.
It is noted that drug users are absent from work 16 times more often, have an accident rate 4 times greater than normal, use over 33% more sickness benefits and file 5 times more compensation claims.

Olfaction, the act or process of smelling, is a dog’s primary special sense. A dog’s sense of smell is said to be a thousand times more sensitive than that of humans. In fact, a dog has more than 220 million olfactory receptors in its nose, while humans have only 5 million.
With specialist training dogs can be taught to find a certain scent and indicate to the handler when they have found it.
